We Don't Want This To Happen To You
When we got to this customer's house, the flashing on this (15 yr old) Pella window was so poorly done it started rotting the wall, sub-siding, and the window jambs. Even the nail fin was nearly rusted through. We ended up replacing all the windows in the house.
Lots of caulk looks bad, and collects dirt in just a year or two
This wrap is held on by caulk & actually attracts water....
It was even worse than expected. When we pulled the trim & stop off, the Jamb was wet & full of mildew.

Rot and mildew can happed quickly. Water travels to interior wood through nails, poorly fitted aluminum wrapping and ill fitted joints
